We turn crude oil into products necessary to maintain the daily life of the population and are working to meet the growing demand for petroleum products, both in Russia and around the world. Currently we have 5 refineries. These are our main production facilities, which are used to manufacture our products, which we subsequently successfully sell in the country and abroad. The average production of all our refineries is 2.8 million barrels of oil products per day. This indicator reflects the production of products such as diesel fuel, gasoline, jet fuel, liquefied petroleum gas, lubricants, and many other refined products.

Over the past few years, we have continuously invested in upgrading our refineries in order to improve product quality, increase productivity and reduce our environmental impact. We adopted the experience of modernizing our factories from the best international industry practices and principles of safety, environment and human health.

How is oil refined?

Production of petroleum products, in general, is divided into 3 stages:

  1. Distillation – the process of separation of petroleum products: the oil is heated at high temperatures until evaporation. This vapor returns to a liquid state as it cools at different levels inside the distillation column. At each level there is a container for collecting each refined product.
  2. Conversion is a process that converts heavier and less valuable parts of the oil into the smallest particles, resulting in the formation of the most noble petroleum products. This increases the use of oil.
  3. Processing – processes and activities aimed at bringing the produced petroleum products into a certain compliance with international standards present in the market. For example, in one such process, sulfur is removed from the fuel.
